From Science to Sensitive Listening:

My Journey in Integrative Medicine

I am a physician and general surgeon, graduated from Fundación Universitaria Juan N. Corpas in Bogotá, Colombia, with specialization studies in Emergency Medicine at the University of Valparaíso in Chile. For years, I worked on the front lines of emergency care, critical care, and palliative care, where I learned the value of precision, agility, and responsibility when faced with life-and-death situations. However, it was through human connection, attentive listening, and the pursuit of my patients’ and colleagues’ holistic well-being that I realized: true healing goes beyond treating symptoms.

My journey led me to deepen my studies in the Specialty of Integrative Medicine at the Teaching and Research Institute of Hospital Israelita Albert Einstein in São Paulo, where I now also serve as a postgraduate professor in Integrative Health and Wellness. I believe genuine care is born from the meeting point of science, sensitivity, and connection — pillars that guide my clinical, educational, and research practice.

I am an integrative therapist accredited by ABRATH (CRTH-BR 16624), with extensive training in sound and vibrational approaches, including music therapy, Sound Healing, vibroacoustics, Nada Yoga, shamanism, and body-mind practices. My education includes institutions such as Florida International University, University of Miami, Universidad de los Andes, Vibro School, Som de Cristal, Soundfulness®, and training with international masters such as Don Conreaux, Vikrampal, Ashana, and in the Shanti Method.

In addition to my clinical work, I am a yoga instructor trained in therapeutic yoga, restorative yoga, and ancestral healing practices. As co-author of the book Bem Viva de Corpo e Alma ("Live Well in Body and Soul"), I share my experience as a teacher and researcher, integrating traditional wisdom with modern science.

My mission is to promote real, transformative, and lasting health by combining technical knowledge, sensitivity, and awareness. I offer qualified listening and therapeutic pathways that respect each person’s uniqueness, inspiring self-care and holistic well-being. I believe that by uniting science, tradition, and sensitive listening, we can transform both medicine and the lives of those we care for.
